if you're shipping packages, UPS is typically cheaper than USPS. sometimes the flat rate USPS boxes are a little cheaper.

I know I can't even make it all the way through one of those books of 20 stamps without the rate going up before I run out, so if it's any condolence... those stamps are probably worthless now.
