Took an unregistered Taxi in Israel.

Sounds tame, but the driver was Hamas, and I ended up about 10 km from the West Bank before I finally punched and strangled him enough to stop the car. According to the IDF debriefing, it was indeed a failed kidnapping.

And it was all because I wanted to go to the one non-kosher burger king I could find. All I wanted was a damn cheeseburger.

They brought me one. And if you're ever over there, make sure you get into the Mercedes' with the right stickers on them. Don't get into a Volvo that just says Taxi on it.

There are many walled housing compounds in Saudi Arabia. All Westerners and a lot of other expats live in those compounds.

Inside compounds, anything goes; dating, alcohol (real and home-brewed), drugs, women can dress/undress as they wish, etc. The religious police are not allowed inside the compounds.

And if a white man was dating a white woman in public in SA, there is almost no chance they would be stopped and asked to prove they are married by the religious police. But if one person is white, and the other is Asian/Arab/etc, that arouses a lot of suspicion.

So when I used to go out with her in public to malls, cafes, and restaurants, I used to take a huge risk. I easily could have been deported.

Don't you "you people" me. They ain't my people. But yes, among Saudis, the vast majority of marriages are arranged by parents.

A ton of dating goes on among the young Saudis in the cities, and it is hard to catch. An increasing number of the younger generation are finding their own spouses. Only if a young couple is multiracial, or monoracial but acting suspiciously or over-romantically in public does it arouse the suspicion of the religious police, if they happen to be around in that mall/cafe/resto at that time.
