i am so pumped for the game.

too bad i have to return to my season ticket seats...i had an awful experience with lame ass alumni trying to get me to "SHUT UP AND SIT DOWN" for cheering during the USC game. one guy two rows below me tried to come at me because i called him lame for not cheering and wearing a oxford longsleeve.

i am not excited about returning to section 28.

That sucks, you should try and sit in section 2 if you're not a student any more. That's where I sat for the South Carolina game and most people were standing for the whole game besides breaks...

anyone know if you may have 2 seats around you? i will probably end up going back in the student section.

sitting in the alumni section is absolutely miserable and it makes me feel like a worthless voice when i cant even use it without being reprimanded.

i am so glad i didnt buy the lifetime rights to those seats. awesome view, miserable company.

Are there any websites that allow you to stream ESPNU or the game? I'm in Chile and want to watch the game but the only sports they show are soccer and tennis.

THESE PEOPLE NEED TO REALIZE THE WOLFPACK IS PLAYING!!!!!!!!!!

That article is a complete joke.

The defense sucks enough so that beck can just sling the ball now and still throw half as many interceptions as touchdowns.

^^ What he said.

I especially enjoy the part where the writer implies that part of the reason for Beck's success is a he has a better receiving corps around him there than he did at State. Like our receivers here were somehow the ones forcing him to throw into triple coverage. Man, this whole time I thought it was the other way around. Stupid me.

But really, what a tool. Harrison Beck and that article have face-palm written all over them. At the end of the article Beck says something to the effect of he wishes he had gone to North Alabama right out of highschool. Us too man!...Us too.

My takeaway...
Not good enough for Nebraska football. Transfer.
Not good enough for NCSU football. Haha, really? Really? Transfer.
North Alabama. Finally found a place "to play the quarterback position at high level". Division II.

Maybe if he transferred down to a middle school he would become a god with a 4:1 TD:INT ratio.

Quote :
"In many ways, Beck's N.C. State career was emblematic of the program's time in transition, from the waning years of the Amato Era to the first stumbling steps forward under Tom O'Brien."

Seems like Russell Wilson got ACC freshman of the year during one of the same transition years where putting Beck in the game equated to a guaranteed loss. Beck was what we were tripping over during "the first stumbling steps forward."

It was always obvious Beck would do well at a lower level based on how he would dominate FCS opponents. They weren't fast enough to make up for his over-aggressiveness where as FBS opponents made him look silly.

Also,

Apologies for putting this in the Pitt thread. But, it had to do with NC State Football, and I though you all would get a kick out of it.

And yea, I was lol'ing the whole time.

Besides being our mini version of Jake D.... I can't say anything positive about that former wolfpacker. Oh wait that's not really positive.

At least stone knew he sucked and decided to move to another position where he actually did something. Beck just wanted to wing the ball to the other team

Hahahhaa... That is funny. Are you choosing to do that or is State MAKING you do that... I've never had problems with people telling me to sit down or be quiet in any sections. I stand when appropriate (not all the time).

I do know people that have, though...

Anyway, the more this game gets closer, the worse a feeling I get about it. Still, though, Pitt is a Wannstedt coached team so we'll win a close one...

there's a douchecunt in my section that does that nonsense as well.

i threw peanuts at the back of his head the entire USC game. if you are that guy and are reading this: you acted good during the gw and mur state blowouts. next time you try to 'direct' our cheers i'll hit you right in the jaw.

I will never apologize for yelling on defense and standing up on 3rd (and 4th downs)...as well as making upward arm movements that encourage people behind me to also stand up for 3rd down

I WILL tell people to shut the fuck up (i'll phrase it more politely) when they are yelling and screaming and we are on OFFENSE

I'm getting more and more nervous about this game. I know that we can pull it off, I'm just hoping that we can actually win a big game in the beginning of the season unlike years past.

we still got a busload back from IR. I'm probably the happiest that Vermiglio is back. I hope he's back up to form, i guess if not, TOB will insert him here and there to get the rust off.

They would absolutely hate me.

My rules for games at Carter-Finley
1. Stand when we're playing.
2. Sit during timeouts, quarter changes and halftime.
3. Yell on defense.
4. Shut up on offense.
5. Don't be a pansy, be a fan.
6. Stay until the freakin game is over, we're not UNC.

People that direct others to cheer and then act indignant when you don't follow their orders make the experience worse. How about you cheer when you want and I cheer when I want?

unless i'm in the student section i don't stand all the time any more...i stand on most 3rd (and all 4th downs) on defense, and during the last few minutes if we're on defense late, but i don't think the "stand up all game" is mandatory

Only the student section should stand up the whole game. All other sections can stand on crucial downs only if they want to.

I heard from a friend that Pitt's QB said he hasn't heard about our atmosphere and that he only knows of Va Tech and Clemson.

It's funny how the argument is constantly changing in order to build SCar(or the SEC more specifically) up while simultaneously keeping NC State down. It's either the QB argument, or the overrated competition argument, or the "SEC vs. ACC" or "SEC Defense vs. ACC Offense" argument. Shit is tired as hell...
