Dear Zachery is a really good documentary I watched about a week ago. 5 stars.

King of Kong I watched last night. I liked it a lot. 4.5 stars.

Also, I though Super High Me was better than 3 stars...so I gave it 4.

I fucking love Weeds. They just added Seasons 3, 4, and 5 to Instant Watch.

Weeds season 1 was pretty good, but then it just turned into a series of increasingly ridiculous and random narrative arcs that never go anywhere.

I guess you could argue that for a lot of sitcoms, but plenty of shows don't fit that description. I guess it wouldn't have annoyed me so much if I still thought what they were doing was funny, but it got pretty stale to me a couple of seasons ago.

You're watching the wrong TV.

And anyway, shows typically peak in season 2.

^I think there should be a disclaimer excluding shows who's second season occurred during the writer's strike (30 rock and Heroes come to mind)

Never watched it. Don't see it happening any time soon. Got too many other seasons to get to before Lost comes up on the list. I don't doubt its good...it just has no appeal to me.

I thought it was stagnant at parts, but I think the goal was to give a glimpse at the impact of organized crime and the implications on the entire social infrastructure, form young to old...not your typical glitz and glamor "mafia" film. It wasn't excellent but I enjoyed it at least

Anyone watch the BBC mini-series The State Within? I'm trying out the first episode right now...

Also, I thought I made this thread? I guess mine was purged or something.

i'm watching the innocents right now

i will report back with reviews

hopefully it won't be too scary. but black and white horror movies always seem scarier than the modern ones. EXTRA creepy.

Watched season 1 of Californication this week - wish they had other seasons on instant watch. Also started Weeds season 1, which is good so far.

i finally watched king of kong last night. it was good.

now i'm about to watch crips and bloods: made in america. and after that maybe sin nombre. yay gangs.

i've also been watching this BBC multi part documentary on auschwitz but that is a little heavy to watch too frequently.

Did they really show clear images of 4000 children being gassed though son?

I mean, I've seen a lot of shit in a few massive photographic history of WWII books, but I've not seen the 4000 children being gassed and graved.

Regardless, I find both to be rather disturbing.

yea they are totally both disturbing

i guess it is just easier for me to understand gang culture and socialization and MUCH harder for me to wrap my head around genocide. i mean i know gangs involve killing but - it is just easier for me to "get" i guess. i mean it is still disturbing but to me it just isn't as shocking as the holocaust.
