Yea...Of course I don't know what it means..."you attack like it raped you": IT is not defining the subject, and even though my post was somewhat clear I thought you became confused by it.
Your the dumb ass buddy.

Maybe you need your eyes opened to the fact that you sit around and post on here all the time, acting like pussies if anyone has something to say that you don't agree with.

Again...I didn't claim anything of the sort, I only said that's the reaction I got. I find it funny when the pot calls the kettle black, you pussies have absolutely no point to make, are not trying to help anyways. So how about you gtfo this thread? Critique my posts, everyone knows that's because you have no argument.

Marijuana, just like any other drug for mental illness is just one of the many options out there and it doesn't always work. Many times a doctor will put a patient on several different drugs before they find one that work.

Marijuana may work for some with bipolar disorder and may not. Just like Lamictal could world for some people and could not for other people.

Y'all are a bunch of haters up ITT.

Stop drinking your haterade!

Lamictal was awful. Every time I was actually feel happy I could literally feel the medicine bringing me back down to zombie-level. That was the first one I tried.

Wellbutrin and I didn't get along well, either. I could never sleep. I would stay up for days and not be tired.

Then I tried Trazodone, helps mood & sleeping issues. But it made me EXTREMELY groggy every morning.

But I think this thread is proof that effectiveness varies from person to person.

It's my impression that this thread was focused on legal routes of treatment.

Pot can be effective as well, but it's not for everyone. Everyone reacts differently to it and it can make things worse, instead of better. However, for some, it does provide relief. It would not be my first choice, but it's legal implications should not rule out it's potential as a remedy. Shamans have used it for centuries.

Lots of ignorance in this thread.

Marijuana is just like any other drug, it may or may not help. For me, it helps about 80% of the time, mainly with anxiety and panic. When I get home in the evenings, usually after a long day at work, I'm so anxious I feel like my heart is going to explode. Marijuana helps alleviate this anxiety more quickly and more effectively than my other anti-anxiety drugs (it also doesn't turn me into a zombie).

Marijuana doesn't help me with my depression, and in fact, can make it worse. On those days where it just hurts to get out of bed, marijuana would probably make me want to jump off my balcony. Knock on wood I haven't had one of these days for over 6 months now. THANK GOD FOR MY "HAPPY PILLS"

^ kind of similar I guess to how an SSRI drug could give you the energy to actually commit suicide. Never thought about it like that... Interesting.

Well my point was that there is no warning label on your average dime bag and I personally had never considered the possibility that MJ could elevate one's mood just enough that they'd have the energy to carry through a suicide, like other SSRI which we all know can have this type of side effect.

wtf are you talking about? how does one develop a feel for a side-effect that works by elevating one's mood to the point that they have the energy to commit suicide?

While marijuana helps some people relax and mellow out, it is known to trigger panic attacks in people who suffer from a panic disorder. Since developing a problem with panic attacks, I avoid even being around people who smoke.

Yeah, I can understand that. You want what is best for your chillun (TheMommyBeast?). Any type of smoke is bad for you/your child. Personally, even though marijuana use is not a factor of whom I socialize with, I can certainly see why it is for you and others. Also, I am not experienced with true clinical depression. Sometimes I feel a little...disenchanted perhaps?? Clinical depression is much deeper and harder for the one suffering to deal with. Those that don't understand this should leave the thread and stop attempting to troll...

Let me clarify, I don't want to be in the vicinity when people are smoking up. It's not going to prevent me from being friends with someone -- in fact, I have friends who smoke pot and I'm cool with them smoking up, but they don't do it when I am around.

Oh, that's cool, I really wish everyone else was as logical as you^ seem to be. On the panic attack part though, I know some people that really suffer from them, they can be quite serious. I had a few about 5 years ago, I'm lucky in the fact that I don't ever get them now. Not fun, to say the least.
