it's not unbelievable that a thin strong 140 lb person could max bench 300

I can totally believe that

I thought you were saying you were the best devensive player in your conference, not your high school. I am going to laugh my ass off when someone comes in here and lets us know that you played for some 1A school that went 2-9 most years.

[Edited on January 11, 2010 at 10:10 PM. Reason : what school has a devil as a mascot and a red logo similar to UNC?]

I would have thrown a "best defensive player" plaque in the trash after that garbage. Fuck man, I was pissed that our school went undefeated or one-loss in regular season three years in a row, yet didn't make it very deep in the playoffs.

never said the team was good, but we had 2 players go to App and win Championships. I chose to stop playing after HS, but then last year our HS won the State Championship and this year lost in the Championship game.

it's all about your conference and if you have a decent O-Line + QB

I still have the All Conference award, so that removes the team aspect.

Also our defensive was ranked top 10 in the State for 2A, most of those points were from the offense throwing interceptions/fumbles. I'm pretty sure our defensive scored more pts than our offense.

Given your incredible natural strength you should have gone into power lifting after high school. By now you'd have at least 4 or 5 world records.

more lies. There's no way in hell your offense gave up the majority of 352 points allowed in a single season. I might believe 10th in your conference on defense.

[Edited on January 11, 2010 at 10:45 PM. Reason : 32 points a game?]

if your offense was giving up points, they would be on the field most of the time because the offense goes back on the field after they give up points. if your defense wasn't so shitty, maybe you could have held other teams to 3 and outs and not been on the field so much.

[Edited on January 11, 2010 at 10:54 PM. Reason : you should sue your defensive players for sucking more than you did.]

Not sure if it's been said, but driving your facemask into an opponent's chest is called "face tackling" and it's a 15 yard penalty in high school football. So yes, you were taught improper tackling techniques.

Rule 9-4-3 Illegal Personal Contact
No player shall:
i. Initiate illegal helmet contact (butt block, face tackle or spear)

You can sue anybody for practically anything.

Your problems:

- Finding an attorney dumb enough and with enough time on his hands to pursue something like this.

- You found that release you had to sign yet?? That should be interesting. You'll have to get past that before you even get to the rest of this. But if the release doesn't stop you, then:

- You have to first prove that whatever tackling technique you used, was exactly what the coach was telling you to do. The coach will probably say that he meant something else...blah blah blah. Have fun with that.

- You have to prove that your injuries occurred as a direct result of what your coach told you to do. That might be easy, it might be difficult. I'm not a medical expert...but the same retarded attorney that you might get to take your case will have to pay for these medical experts.

- You'll probably have to find other players with the exact same injuries. You could just be an isolated incident. A player with a unique body type that made this injury occur. Or maybe you tackled a little different than everyone else.

- Have fun with a jury in BFE North Carolina siding with a 23 year old with a sore neck over an old football coach. And you will have to go to trial...because nobody will be dumb enough to settle with you.

- Even if you get past all that other stuff....how much fucking money do you think you're going to get from this?? Sounds like you're looking for an easy pass and a lot of money. How much do you think that high school football coach is worth right now??

Bottom line...you're an idiot...suck it up.

I'm going after the entire coaching staff, not just the head coach.

now the problem is 50% of them are gone to different schools, but like I said I have friends who played with me with similar pains, just not as severe. I also have the game tapes, all of them that I ever played in.

Sometimes my pain is so bad I literally can't walk into my kitchen.

A lawyer acquaintance of mine recently won a guy about 60K for Chronic ankle problems relating to poor team issued footwear in college basketball

So its not unprecedented, but my personal feeling is that you'd be a douche to pursue it

I'm just saying that you have no idea how much more you need to even have a shot at something like this. What I posted was just a fraction. If I cared enough, I would dust off some Torts books and I could write a couple pages on how frivolous your claim would be.

^^That's a product defect...huge difference...and a lot less to prove.

how is a shoe proof but a helmet is not?

I cracked my helmet during a kickoff, this proves it was a defect in the helmet.

What?? The whole time you're talking about suing your coaches. Now you're saying there is a defect in the helmet? That means you need to sue the company that made the helmet. Make up your fucking mind.
