Pacquiao won two rounds imo - 4 & 6 - three rounds at most. I was surprised two judges had him winning four rounds. If you think Pacquiao won this fight you do not understand boxing.

That being said, I agree the fight was lacking. HBO has had some really great fights on in the past two months, most of which were more exciting than this fight. One of the commentators tonight referenced Hagler/Hearns, I can't remember the context - but take a few minutes to watch the fight if you've never seen it and try to imagine the reaction on social media if tonight's fight had even half the action of Hagler/Hearns.

I don't think either fighter deserved to win that fight. Manny won two rounds, Mayweather successfully ran away for 10. Maybe they agreed beforehand to take it easy so they could enjoy the afterparty.

If you know anything about boxing Mayweather clearly won. On a 12 round scoring system Mayweather won more rounds than Manny. The judges can clearly see when Mayweather scores with jabs, counter rights, and lead rights which he was landing cleanly all night. He wasn't running from Manny, he was using whats known as lateral movement to offset his rhythm. If Mayweather would of stayed in the pocket all night he would of lost which is why he moved and box most of the night. I like both guys and had money on Mayweather but honestly thought it would've been a little more competitive.

You don't need a round by round score to be announced - you and your corner know if the fight is close and generally if you won a round or not. I was surprised I didn't hear more urgency coming out of Pacquiao's corner after the 10th and 11th rounds.

In general it is a good idea to not PPV any combat sports. Last night all 3 fights were lop sided score card victories. Often times there is lots of dancing around the ring. Then there is the total opposite outcome of an early KO. My cousin and his friends had a party for a PPV Tyson fight one time and Tyson won by KO just seconds into the first round. They have never paid for PPV boxing since.

I didn't understand how it was supposed to be a "good" fight in the first place.

Everything I read said Mayweather had it in the bag. They also went on and on about his immaculate defense. Since I'm not a big boxing fan fascinated by how a man can avoid getting hit, I dunno...it seemed evident it would be boring.

I'm a fan of boxing, and I'm a fan of Mayweather and Pacman. I can appreciate the concussion inducing boxers, and I can also appreciate the skilled boxers as well. Mayweather uses defense because history has shown that taking too many shots in the head is not healthy. Also, I'm against women abuse but the man did serve his time. I hate that the media take one snapshot of someone's life and replay it indefinitely like that defines them entirely.

I just went to sleep and got up in the morning and downloaded it before I knew who won so I didnt have to deal with any shitty streams in foreign languages. Fight went exactly as expected. Mayweather danced around, threw some jabs, made everyone wonder why the fuck they paid 100 bucks for this, and collected his check. All we can wish is this fight had happened 5-6 years ago so it might have been worth the money.

The thing with May is that dudes come in thinking they can take the fight to him, but they soon realize that along with being an incredibly skilled defender, he's also bigger and stronger than them. When Manny got tagged with a right about a minute into the first round, you could see his entire demeanor change as he realized he had no realistic shot of winning. The best he could hope for was not to get knocked out, which is exactly how he played the rest of the match. As for Mayweather, he's 38 and has had several hand/arm injuries throughout his career, so of course he doesn't throw many punches when just not getting hit will win him the fight. Dude isn't trying to get brain damage for your amusement people.



People were cheering Manny during this exchange lol. Just no hope.
