Although I wouldn't agree with it, if a law is passed prohibiting the 50%-75% of all TWW activity that amounts to online bullying, I would become the biggest snitch in TWW history. for the record, that user was created in 2002 and has a grand total of 4 posts (AFTER creating that thread and posting in it several times). I don't think she was going to all of a sudden become a contributor after 9 years.

(this is all assuming its not just an alias somebody just realized they still had)

Let's say this:

A female freshman user saw the tunnel painting. "Neat." She checks out the site, registers, looks around and sees what TWW is, goes away.

Something comes up on campus/at a game a week or two later that she knows nothing about..."hey, TWW has students, maybe they know"

She makes a relatively naive thread with her first post. Angry internet nerds incinerate the thread.

She is baffled by the outrage. Angered, even. From then on she associates "TWW" with "angry, useless internet nerds". A friend mentions the tunnel painting. She tells the friend about "TWW". The friend s at the concept of TWW. A friend of hers mentions the tunnel painting. She tells the friend about "TWW".

See where this is going?

Surely, this is just an isolated incident. No way that this has happened before.

That's just one user that I remember from recent history. Check her post history. All she wanted to know about was her turtles. Did she ever come back?

Nope. (though she was probably painting the turtles herself and fishing for comments )

tie dye is awesome! i have been interested in doing some dying since i accidentally picked up a kit at target a few weeks ago. i was buying like 10 plastic baskets and never bothered pulling them apart before taking them to the register. someone had shoved a tie dye kit ("girly color pack" ) in one of the baskets and i never took it back, so now i'm going to tie dye all my white stuff.

I didn't post Meg's responses for a reason lol. Student groups have done tie dye for games before...specifically the Kay Yow men's basketball memorial game against UNC a few years ago. Its possible some student group was set up in the brickyard with a trashcan and dye, Meg posted how to make their own
