well by NC High School rules you are supposed to be removed from playing ever again at 3, I had 3 or 4; 3 for sure. I only told my linebacker coach about 1, because I didn't want to have to quit playing (yea retarded move, but I was only 17 and felt invincible)

concussions caused instability in my spine which lead to zero curvature (see my gallery). This causes my muscles around the spine to be in constant tension/spasm.

You seem to be in a lot of pain, so why the urgency to get off of the pills right at this minute?

Any doctor should be able to look at your chart and provide some help in going through withdrawal. You definitely need some help with all that you're taking. Does the Soma work the same with oxycodone as it does with hydrocodone, producing the heroin-like high?

He apparently went from 60mg Oxycontin and 120mg MS Contin a day (Pretty high doses clearly) back down to a much lower dose of vicodin only. His doctors, at least, don't seem to be giving him excessive amounts for a long time period (Obviously many doctors do though).

But I don't think it is fully handling the pain and he goes into withdrawal regularly (Like every 6hrs when the vicodin wears off) so he was looking into a pain clinic. I don't think he'd need much.

Yea it is fucked up how docs operate and Saab is right, I wouldn't need a strong pain killer, just something longer than standard vicodin. Methadone at the right dose sounds like it has good potential. Also like Saab said I'm not going into a pain clinic yet, I'm just talking about it because I will have to eventually.

First, let's all remember that this is the same guy who told us his Valium was prescribed as a pain reliever (it's in another thread somewhere)

When narcotic analgesics are used to control legitimate pain and are used according to the prescription, there is almost a 0% chance of addiction or dependance. This is supported by multiple evidence based research articles, just google and read if you want proof. That having been said, I see three possible causes for your problem.
1. You are in legitimate pain and are still in need of narcotic analgesics
2. You have developed a dependance to the drugs, either physiological or psychological, and require more than methadone therapy (a rehabilitation facility would not be a bad option, they make sure you detox in a healthy way)
3. Your personality can be likened to that of a Munchausen, who constantly craves attention for medical conditions that others cannot validate

Also about the valium, that had nothing to do with my daily regimen. I was/am given valium before each injection to the neck in order to reduce the pain of the procedure. Is it my fault if CVS can't count 6 pills?

yes, I have been on them since january, taking them everyday. I started out just on the oxycodone 5mg every 4-6 hours as needed (120 a month). Then as the pain didnt go away throughout physical therapy, my doctor prescribed me oxycontin 20mg ER to take twice a day (60 per month) and then she kept me on the oxycodone for "breakthrough" pain. I actually ran out of my prescription a week or so ago and havent had any sort of withdrawal symptoms, and to tell you the truth I dont feel bad enough now to make me rush back to get my prescription filled again. It feels pretty good
