i didn't think that titanium sets off metal detectors. i dunno, maybe in quantities such as ben's new leg, it might. i have 6 titanium twist-ties in my chest and my wedding rings are titanium. none has set off the detectors. they never gave me any sort of card as proof that i have metal in my chest. maybe the big scar down the middle is enough, though no one's ever asked to see it.i've been through metal/security screens at rdu, lax, the airport in cancun, and the airport in kalispell.[Edited on June 1, 2010 at 1:32 PM. Thats going to suck if archaelogists dig you up in a few hundred years and all thats left is the titanium rod. They'll probably think it's some kind of crazy industrial dildo.

"hey baby, have you seen my trouser rod?"

Or when you have your ashes scattered you can just have them put into a small pinata which can then be swung at with the rod.
