I noticed this weekend, that by the Jimmy V statue outside of Reynolds there seems to be a bat house there?? There's a large tree right behind the statue and it has a large box on it with the number 23.

Anyone know about it?

It's gotten so bad at my house. Last summer when I worked in the yard in the evening, I'd wear long pants, long sleeve shirt, put bug spray on my hands and neck and would still get swarmed/bit by mosquitos. For christmas I was gifted a mesh shirt. I've used it a few times this year and it's great! I feel a little silly in it, but it does the job.

^I'll put bat box making on the list as my next career move along with being one of the people who skate around and clean the ice during tv timeouts at the hurricanes

I roughly followed the design at http://www.batcon.org/files/RocketBoxPlans.pdf. I used cedar for the inside and my inner most box is 4"x6" since I wrapped the 4x4 (so a little bigger than the design specs). I think I built it in a morning, would have quicker if I had bought 1x6 and 1x8 cedar instead of gluing 1x4 boards together.

I see bats flying around at dusk, and I don't even have a bat house! But usually only one or two. I would like more.

I didn't think there are bats in the bathhouse right now, haven't seen any poop. I will try to remember to check at dusk to see if there are any flying around
