Ok, we've arrived at Reno now. Trying to see if I can get a decent photo before we leave. So many power lines next to the rail on my side of the train.

So I failed at that... Reno apparently built a trench for the railroad, so now you basically are underground for about 12 blocks of the city. You can't see shit.

So, instead, here's "Boomtown:"

(yes, the sign says that)

The train ride follows I-80 apparently from Utah on because I saw all these things on my drive east.

I'll just add that after having been in SF now for several hours, I can already understand why so many people (not just gays, thanks) love living here. We took the Bay Bridge (not Golden Gate) over from Emeryville, and you can just see EVERYTHING from it. Absolutely breathtaking view. I'd love to live here.

In closing, let me end this thread with the following: fuck Texas.

/good night

I want to go there.

I've flown over the airplane boneyard at Davin-Monthan...might get to deliver a jet there as we get rid of our older airframes. That would be cool, as I might actually get to tour the place a little.

I'm about to pick up another motorcycle (BMW touring bike). That calls for another XC trip whenever I can get a chance to do it.
