i mean in THEORY, obviously. in theory if it was going on for years you wouldn't stop it?

i mean it could go on for years since no one is saying anything.

i think in that specific situation you should let him try to find out on his own. but i think ther eeventually comes a time where someone should try to say something

i mean maybe the friend already knows? the reason why i didn't feel out of place saying something to my friend is a) they weren't married and b) it'd been happening for years and she always talked about how he'd never cheat on her so finally i was like OMG

but then my other friend was the opposite way. the cheater not the cheatee. so i didn't know what to say to her BFs that i befriended. i didn't say anything. cause i guess she was my friend first? are you supposed to stay loyal to cheater friends?!

pretty much, if my friend is the one getting cheated on, I'm gonna make damned sure I have my facts straight before I ever do or say anything. It's just not my place. I'm not perfect and I realize this. But you have to see from their point of view, you interfering and telling them or pointing things out is basically telling them they don't know what the hell is going on and need help, even if they didn't ask for it.

if my friend is doing the cheating, my main option is to step away from the situation because you may not be doing that, but if you continue to associate with that, it's not gonna look good on you when it finally comes to light. if you step away, they'll either realize something's up and ask you about it, or not care and screw themselves.

that's my take.
