then he basically did karaoke to "get up get out"

i played "faded high" and he sang his backing part live

(jon yu was jumping in to do hype man duty all along)

and then i dropped another "nice fox" singalong

IMO the DJs at Neptunes pretty much play the best music out of all the places in Raleigh. VB was killing it on Saturday before and after the show.

fri/sat nights after like 12 or 12:30 yea, it can be crowded, like other bars, and you have to wait a hot minute to get a drink. sometimes its been REALLY difficult and i've wished they had 3 bartenders back there instead of 2.


any other night of the week though is easy peasy lemon squeezy. and prior to 12 or 12:30 on weekends it is usually fine. in my experience anyway.

i'm confused about the boring music part though.

Yeah, WTF is that shit? I was pretty drunk the first time I had to use their restroom, so maybe I wasn't fully aware of my surroundings, but it totally surprised me. I went to the restroom, walked in, and saw some shocked looking dude pissing in the toilet. Realizing someone fucked up by not locking the door or by not putting a working lock on their door I turned and walked out. Then I saw a line of about 8 guys waiting to use the restroom and they all looked super pissed. One of the guys near the front of the line threw his arms out like "WTF DUDE!!!" and then I had to throw mine up and be like "WHAT MOTHERFUCKER!" Then nothing happened because that's what always happens at those places so I just went back to the people I was hanging out with and waited a while before I took a piss. In any case, if you have like 200 drunk people you need more than one pisser in the men's bathroom.

I do think it is a big mistake when they have dj's that only play that type of music on weekends (it happens about once or twice a month). I am not one of them.
