I, too, plan on participating in no-shave-November. Thanksgiving with the family will be fun.

Probably going to start my annual winter beard. However, the temp keeps creeping back into the 80s down here and I hate a sweaty beard. Damn Charleston weather.

Not just Charleston. 83 in Charlotte this morning. My face sweat like an ass crack on my morning jog.

I would love to know what is going on in that gif... besides the crazy-beard-man-style kung fu, obviously.

I have serious doubts if i will ever shave again..... I hope not.

The only times I have been beardless during the last 3-4 years was when I let a woman get the best of me.

Still been about 2 months since last shave.

Does cleaning up my neck beard count as shaving or no.

I have a shitty/patchy neckbeard.

It's gotten better over the past year, but I don't think there's much a god damn 30 year old can do about it

I don't think it's a beard unless its at least one inch in length...(or close to that...and full).

You have facial hair.

yeah, if it's something you can shave and have back in 2 days it's not a beard. that being said, facial hair is better than nothing.

I grew mine out about a month past this point for GABF. Trimmed it back down recently with a #4 or #5 guard. Now I want to let it go for about 6 months.

bttt, so one of my best friends and I have entered a pact to go for the year beard challenge. July 4th-July 4th, 2015. I had about a month's growth already and it won't take him long to catch up. The longest i've gone is maybe 4-5 months so it's going to be a big commitment. The hardest thing for me is to leave it alone so I need to hide my trimmers.

^^i wouldn't say it's trendy. I've worn a beard pretty consistently for years now. For me it's more about comfort. Facial hair has certainly seen a rise, but from everything i've been told it seems like the freshly shaved look is starting to make a comeback. That's just not for me.

I would never describe a beard as "comfortable". They're fucking itchy.

i guess it's different for everyone. after about week 3 i never have any itch. and it sure beats the sensitive rashed neck i get from daily shaving.

Yup. I hate shaving, so I have a beard. I think I've shaved everything off my face probably twice since age 16.

I've had a beard for the last 3-4 years. I read somewhere that beards have fallen out of style since they became so 'mainstream' a few years ago, but I hate shaving and don't want to look like a 20 year old, so it's not going anywhere.

I've had a beard for a while now, quite a while actually. Its great wearing a beard in the town of fayetteville where every damn GI has to shave. I really think know that women have been attracted to men with beards over other attributes and this works out well where I live

TL;DR, women still like beards

I'd say it's about half/half. I've had women that love beards and hated them. Most don't hate the look...they just hate the way it feels.
