I'm at a 7 now. The average rank I play against is a 3, not sure why. Maybe cus that's all they can find for me.

So apparently EA has fucked up, the game freezes when you leave the arena. Like 2 seconds after you leave the Arena the music stops and you can't load any games or get to any of the menus

I started a Career Mode, manager only, with Arsenal. I love their young players...

I tried to sell off Van Persie and through a year NO ONE was interested in him. And he gets hurt every other damn game.

I bought Oscar Cardozo and guy is a beast. Love his power shots and his Free Kicks...

I might have to try that after playing FM11. I thought it'd be horribly boring without controlling the players but my eyes have been opened.

Ok, after playing this game for a month and a half, I'd have to say it is the single most disappointing game I have ever played. It's just so much worse than FIFA 10 was. I can see where they were going with the gameplay, but it just feels unpolished. The difficulty settings in single player are seriously fucked up. They don't really improve or nerf the AI, they improve or nerf the AI players' stats. Online play is a fucking joke. Be A Pro was fun for awhile until you level your guy up to a certain point. There are no fun modes to play. It's a huge step back from FIFA 10 in terms of playability. I wish I had just bought FIFA 10 again instead of waiting for 11 to come out. I can't remember the last time I was this disappointed in a game I was looking forward to so much.

have u been playing ultimate team? it's pretty good so far, but i agree with you about the rest of the game. it's definitely not as good as everyone has been rating it. it has the same problems (refereeing, stupid passing, weird defending) it can be really really annoying

I've been playing Ultimate Team and trying to knock out a lot of the single player tournaments. It pisses me off though because it's so obvious the computer is cheating at certain times. Like when they're controlling a 2-star team on Professional and they pass the ball around like 20 times before scoring a goal without me touching it whereas I can play against Chelsea and Arsenal on Professional with pretty much the same team and win. It's fucking ridiculous and extremely frustrating.

But I like the Ultimate Team concept. I grabbed Michael Bradley as my first premier signing for like 700 coins or something. Dude is a beast.

haha yea, same here. I scored a goal from about 40 yards out with bradley against some dude online. i want a charlie davies card though, he is probably the best silver card you can get, costs about 20k though

Yeah, that's another thing I hate. People have no concept of how much their players are worth. I can buy some gold players for 1/10 the price of some silver players. It's retarded.

How much better is this than '10? My bro gave it to me and I never really played it much but I have been lately. I like playing manager modes in lower levels so current rosters don't matter much to me. Unless the game play is significantly better, I think I'll just keep playing '10

I just read through the 10 thread for some tips and it seems as if I need to change the assisted settings.

I got this game for the Wii and I was surprised at how "cartoonish" it was. Is that how all the versions are or just the Wii one?

^^ i got '10 on the wii and sold it a week after buying it. it's a fucking joke on that system. i saw '11 looked similar so i didn't even buy it. from the reviews and such, it's obviously not all cartoony on other systems. so why fuck it up for the wii?

i still rock '09. last good version on the wii.

10 and 11 aren't too different, 11 is a little better but not a ton.

I go through phases where I like them a lot and hate them, so I can't form a real opinion. The way they ref in both games is so shitty. If you stuck with 10, you wouldn't be missing out on a lot, except if you want to play online a lot, im guessing there won't be a ton of people on there anymore.

I think 10 is more fun and 11 is more realistic. So if you like playing and scoring goals stick with 10. If you like tactics then 11 is better. Overall, they're pretty similar but one thing that I really do like about 11 is that the players play very much how they would play in real life.

Puyol is a bruiser
Peter Crouch is a heading beast
Lennon is a speedster who gets knocked off the ball
And then C Ronaldo, Torres, Messi are just ridiculously good at everything

You might think they have individual playing styles in 10 but it's really amplified in 11 which is pretty cool.

I haven't played regularly since '06 so the new game play and controls are a bitch to master. I'm barely beating teams in League One on semi-pro

and wtf is up with the snow covered field? it looks fucking dumb

Pro tip: Use left trigger basically anytime you want to use close control on offense. Don't use sprint so much. If you notice, they still run fairly fast without having to sprint.

Lets start a list of top 5 favorite teams to play as

1) Juventus
2) Liverpool (Torres is no where near as good as he was in 10)
3) Inter
4) Portugal
5) Uraguay

anyone tried any of those other online modes other than head to head and team play? I think there are leagues or something else you can do

also any idea why the squads in this game are so fucked up? I thought they were supposed to update with the actual squads. Theres always the shittiest people starting default.

I'm AstralAdvent and i approved this message.

yeah, I got that from the 10 thread, it's really helpful. I still have trouble creating any chances down the middle and my crossing has produced like one goal in about 30 games

Haven't played it in a few years, the demo is decent.

Having a difficult time creating decent chances and crosses work roughly 10% of the time.

Not sure I appreciate the officiating. Similar plays on the ball for either team usually leaves me with the foul. Any tips?

If you can learn how to play long balls in the air that will help a lot in switching the play and stuff which will open up passes through the middle some. Also learn how to use chipped through ball, LB + Y Other than that just use players in the same way that they play in real life. Xavi is a passer. Messi is a dribbler. Rooney is a workhorse. One other thing is even if you get the ball to a player out wide you don't have to cross it. Players like Robben and Ronaldo have made their careers on cutting inside and ripping one or passing. Only cross it if there's an open/semi-open player waiting for it in the box.

Top 5 teams

Tottenham
ManU
Bayern Munich
USA
AC Milan
I also like Arsenal. Walcott is a really good player if you use him right.

I guess I should play some games with a good team before I dive in with a lower league team like I usually do on FIFA

guess that rules out Liverpool

If you get a tall forward or one who is good at heading, like crouch, kieB(s)ling, llorente, they are deadly in the box. I probably score on crosses and corners way too much because of it, unlike fifa 10, where it is really difficult to score on crosses.

Marco Marin, Stefan KieBling, and Michel Bastos are probably my favorite players that i've played with so far. Eden Hazard too.
