if you walk towards gate 6 and cut thru the garden section you can get to the area where they have apple slushies, they are $2 each and it's near where they dry out tobacco, and they have the old timey buildings

our group all took the big 89 cent sheetz cups and had them filled for $1 at the butcher brothers booth

Deep Fried Cajun Wings - good, I really liked the meat, very tender. Not enough cajun for me.

Oh! And I think I had those mini donuts - very good, cinnamon sugar.

Fried dough, kettle corn, Cheerwine fudge. Also helped eat a giant turkey leg. Delicious. And picked up saltwater taffy for a friend in CA.

The corn I had sucked. I need to find Hills next time. I got the one by village of yesteryear.

Got some supposedly famous fries that were pretty good.

i did: part of the KK burger, fried greenbeans, fried wisconsin cheese curds, pizza, apple cobbler, ham biscuit

i think that is it. things i didn't get that i wanted: corn, caramel apple

but i just couldn't do anymore after the first round of stuffs.

I was so mad that the apple cider place was closed the first night

but I had: apple pie Miss Debbie apple (redundant, I know, but it was dipped in caramel, then white chocolate, then rolled in brown sugar.. amazing), hot chocolate, deep fried milky way, deep fried reese's, foot long, roasted corn, maple cotton candy

On the return trip we added new food:

Pineapple Lemonade (It's good and for 2 dollars it's the cheapest thing I've had at the whole goddamn fair. A Kiwanas biscuit is the same but that's like two mouthfuls maybe (haha that's what she... awww).

Deep Fried Frito Pie (Meh, was worth checking out, but way to expensive for what you get)

Foot-long Hotdog from Charlie Barefoot (man, what are they called again, the red carolina dogs?)

Mozzarella Sticks from the Hot Wisconsin Cheese Stand (not gonna lie, as good if not better than the cheddar nuggets--wanted real cheese curds, but didn't see any stand)

MORE Cinnamon Mini-Doughnuts, those things are like CRACK.



It was the hunger-relief day, so they were twice as many people but four times the oppressive, lingering hate for mankind. Nothing has made me hate people more than this last trip to the fair. I was about to sharp the remainder stick from a corndog and shiv the next group of people deliberately standing in the middle of a busy pedestrian walkway.

Frog legs are good, so that is probably all I would try at the fair (if I wasn't living 1000 miles away). None of the random deep-fried foods even remotely appeal to me.
