They're what, 1500 votes apart? Depending on how many absentee ballots were cast, and those historically tend to lean Democrat, it might make a difference. 11/4/2010 12:05:41 PM |

So I read somewhere that a recount would take about a week. But I wasn't thinking about absentee & provisional ballots that haven't been counted for the first time yet. When is that over? 11/5/2010 4:42:17 AM |

Even if it does go the other way, Etheridge isn't any better. He just wants to ruin things a different way. The man has a voting record of hemorrhaging tax dollars, restricting gun ownership, supporting warrantless wiretapping, and opposing same-sex unions. He's just as much of a threat to individual freedom as Ellmers, so either way we lose. 11/5/2010 5:21:13 PM |

Etheridge has called for a recount in his bid to keep the seat, but Ellmers said she wants to get to work.
"I'm going forward as if we're not in this recount situation, because I have so much to learn,” Ellmers said Saturday." |
Quote : | ""As more votes were counted over the last week, it became increasingly clear that this race is too close to call and a recount is warranted,” Etheridge said in a statement Friday.
Ellmers is confident that her lead is insurmountable.
The State Board of Elections has until Nov. 23 to announce certified, final results." |
Its gotten a little closer as more votes have been counted. Nice to see when the final decision date is. Only 10 days left.11/13/2010 10:23:12 PM |

so, supplanter, srs ?. would you vote for a gay rights / full recognized marriage across the U.S. if it was tacked on to provisions to: expand and expedite the death penalty, neuter Roe v. Wade, and allow for bible study in public classrooms?
b/c of course, if you don't vote for it then you 'hate gay people' if you do vote for it then you voted for X, Y, and Z.
and if you abstain all sides get you for 'no caring' about issue W, X, Y and Z. 11/13/2010 11:34:09 PM |

I feel like she should have learned about what she's doing BEFORE she ran for public office, but I guess that's just me.11/14/2010 3:01:27 AM |

I would've held my nose & voted for Etheridge if I'd been gerrymandered into the second. Still hoping he pulls it out. Ellmers is like a less attractive and intelligent Sarah Palin.11/14/2010 8:29:37 PM |
