They're what, 1500 votes apart? Depending on how many absentee ballots were cast, and those historically tend to lean Democrat, it might make a difference.

So I read somewhere that a recount would take about a week. But I wasn't thinking about absentee & provisional ballots that haven't been counted for the first time yet. When is that over?

Even if it does go the other way, Etheridge isn't any better. He just wants to ruin things a different way. The man has a voting record of hemorrhaging tax dollars, restricting gun ownership, supporting warrantless wiretapping, and opposing same-sex unions. He's just as much of a threat to individual freedom as Ellmers, so either way we lose.

so, supplanter, srs ?. would you vote for a gay rights / full recognized marriage across the U.S. if it was tacked on to provisions to: expand and expedite the death penalty, neuter Roe v. Wade, and allow for bible study in public classrooms?

b/c of course, if you don't vote for it then you 'hate gay people' if you do vote for it then you voted for X, Y, and Z.

and if you abstain all sides get you for 'no caring' about issue W, X, Y and Z.

I would've held my nose & voted for Etheridge if I'd been gerrymandered into the second. Still hoping he pulls it out. Ellmers is like a less attractive and intelligent Sarah Palin.
