I'm a moral relativist. You offer no comparison point, so such a statement is, by technical philosophical definition, bullshit.

We probably agree that choosing to conceive is less selfish than irresponsibly having sex and getting knocked up unplanned. You can't get much more selfish than that.

Ultimately, the battle for the future is between the selfish and the slightly less selfish. Choosing to concede that battle to the more selfish stands on the same moral grounds as advocating for nuclear war.

I haven't even looked for this post in a while, nut I want to let everyone know that we adopted a son 6 weeks ago. He is doing great and it is really awesome to finally have him.

^^ Congrats!!!!! Adoption is not an easy or cheap process. I have a lot of respect for anyone that does it.

He was born on July 1st and we got him July 3rd (newborn). We are still going through the paperwork process but we should be through most of the hurdles.



If you guys know anyone who could be in the position of placing a baby for adoption encourage them to consider it. We think about the birth-mother of our baby every day and thank her for making the choice she did. We know it was hard for her and we will always have a place in our hearts for her.
