Don't think so.... Haven't asked though. And time and a half is still only $3

^^ I did when I worked at Starbucks, but they were always pretty good about giving out time and a half.

blah

after thinking about it more, i think i might just not make anything and skip thanksgiving. which is totally possible since my family is going out to eat and i already elected not to be included in the reservation.

i am going to be "sick" on thursday. and i will eat my own snacks and watch movies and football all day and maybe run the turkey trot.

Going out to eat for Thanksgiving seems lame. Or silly. Or odd. Or AWESOME. But probably lame.

I've done it twice. The first time was lame because the only reason we were eating out was my parents had a huge fight and my mom refused to cook dinner

The second time was awesome because we went to Irregardless for dinner because the oven blew up a couple days before Thanksgiving They have an A+++ Thanksgiving menu.

But afterward it was lame because there were no leftovers to make turkey sandwiches out of

blah i did. drama happened. now i am reluctantly attending. i wish i'd get the flu or something so i'd have an excuse notttt to

i think so, too. no leftovers for one. and my fam always goes to the country club and the food (we've done this several times, but sporadically over the years so i'm sure its not always disgusting, but it seems like it has been everytime I'VE gone) is gross. so i dunno. i'm just not into it.

mom's still worrying about things, even though all the food is packed away and the guests are long gone

grandma is snoring on the couch in the living room

stepdad is snoring in the front room

i'm thinking of breaking out early to avoid more badgering - "Are you dating anyone?" "Have you gained weight?" "What happened to your last boyfriend?" "Are you happy?" Blah, blah blah...

Same shit, different year, lol. But I've had a pretty decent time.

Who wants to hang out tonight?

Had a nice lunch with some extended family. Now watching some football at home by myself and then heading out to Saucer for a few drinks!

** And reading this thread, I guess even though I take it for granted I'm really thankful that I have an amazing family and never dread going home for any holidays or gatherings. I really miss being able to see my family every holiday but that's the life of a grown-up.

Shit, I've been alone all day and there's still drama!

him: "My family is sort of upset you didn't come out even though it's your only day off and you're sick"

Also, he told me he was coming home tonight so I thought I'd at least see someone and get some leftovers maybe, at 5 I text him asking when he will be home, he says MONDAY MORNING. wtf? So. Pissed.

Fuck holidays.

Well last night ended up being a disaster.

Turns out the shitty oven in my apartment doesn't get above 200 degrees, even when you crack the dial up to 500 degrees. We cooked that turkey for 12 hours and it still wasn't done I had to cut off slices from the breast and pan cook them in broth just so we'd have some to eat. I'm so pissed off right now. What do y'all think my chances of having the complex give me a new oven are?
