well i guess i should start with the whole backstory: he lied and said he was sick earlier in the year and was in the hospital due to a condition. i came to find out a few weeks later that the hospitalization occurred years earlier than he previously mentioned and he moved down to where his mom lived to "get back on his feet." but he never did - he kept claiming the condition debilitated him to the point where he couldn't work but he was denied disability and while he claimed he was unable to work, he was able to go traveling all over the place visiting friends and family.

the relationship obviously didn't last very long - i didn't have time to deal with his shit.

^^That's not true in some parts of the country at all. Around NC yes, but in the more expensive regions of the US (like CA or NYC/NJ/CT) it's fairly common for people to save money by living at home with their parents up to almost being 30 or so.

Hah... I actually do have a condition that causes low blood sugar (even on meds for it). I think Eric started taking me seriously the night I literally passed out in his room.

PS - I'm not agreeing with the last half of your sentence. But honestly, I have been in situations where people were just like, "Right, whatever " when I said I needed to eat very, very, very soon. It's like you have to get to the point of hearing trains and your vision going black and starting a cold sweat before people really f'ing get it and admit that you need to eat something. It's very frustrating and it doesn't feel great having to be a giant bitch to someone just to get a few minutes to grab a snack. :\

Long story short, I met her a few months before I deployed. I knew she was crazy but she was fun to hang out with so I didn't really care. She flipped out right before I left (swore up and down that I'd die over there) but we kept in occasional touch.

Turns out Myspace-Jesus-dick-poet is crazier than she is and has celebrated his graduation from his 3rd undergraduate program by clearing out her daughter's bedroom and camping out on the floor with nothing but a blanket and a pillow with a knife under it. Apparently he only comes out to feed in the middle of the night before retreating to his room. Her dad has cut them off from the $2000 monthly allowance that he was supporting them with while he was in college.

I listened to her whole sob story for a while before gently bringing up the e-mail about whatever it is that she did but couldn't tell me about.

To this day I don't know . . .
