While I don't accept the validity of astrology whatsoever, the most cogent answer to your question that I can think of is the fact that since our bodies are 55-78% water and that when in the womb we are immersed in water, the gravitational pull from the moon depending on where it is in relation to the earth may have subtle effects on our development and possibly personalities after birth. Again, this is the most logical thing I can think of but I still don't buy it for a second.

When the Moon is in the seventh house, and Jupiter aligns with Mars; then peace will guide the planets, and love will steer the stars.
...even though Jupiter frequently aligns with Mars and the Moon enters the seventh house a couple hours a day: https://secure.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Age_of_Aquarius#Common_cultural_associations

In more seriousness, this link from icyhotpatch needs to be at the top of page 3: http://news.blogs.cnn.com/2011/01/13/no-your-zodiac-sign-hasnt-changed/

I think we should be grandfathered in.

Of course you don't buy it, because it isn't logical.

There isn't a reasonable answer for belief in astrology. It's pseudo-science.

It's not even pseudo-science. I mean, who actually tries to pretend that it's scientific?

It's just for fun!

I don't believe in any of this zodiac nonsense, but I was surprisingly similar to what a gemini is "supposed" to be. Now I get to be an anomaly in the taurus family
