as much as I generally dislike Calvin Harris, his set was actually pretty good

so far, Boys Noize has had one of my favorite sets. Saw him in Oakland and he blew my brains out

Carl Cox is great to have on in the background, but for deep tech, I'd rather listen to a Digweed set

Pretty sure it ends at 11 tonight, which is pretty fucking weak.

Also, EDC has free water filling stations and they allow you to bring in empty bottles. I could go on and on why EDC is better than Ultra, but it's still a good party

I went this year and had an awesome experience.

They did have free water filling stations this year - given they were in the bathroom area of the park - but free water nonetheless. I also took water in my camelbak each day and had no issue. They checked bags very liberally when going through "security" and the only day I even had to open mine was on Sunday (wknd 1). I've never been to EDC so can't compare it to that.

Acts that killed it IMO - Alesso, Prydz, Pretty Lights, Martin Solveig, Adventure Club, Avicii, SHM, Kaskade, Porter Robinson, Zedd.

Practically everyone was playing some form of a Zedd track - seems to be set to become one of the next big DJs.

It was also really cool being able to watch sets close up this weekend on UMF TV. Gave a different perspective (and more sober) from actually being there Wknd 1.

We hit Mansion on the Friday of the first weekend to see Porter Robinson. Club was way too crowded and you could barely move. I know it is one of the original super clubs but it could use some serious updating. Can't compete with XS or other some of the others.

Plan on going back next year. They released dates last night for the last weekend of March 2014. But only one weekend...not sure if they're going back to a single weekend event or haven't made up their minds if its worth fighting with Miami over it being 2 wknds again.

It's obvious the city makes bank off of hosting the festival. Evident by the blind eye the cops take on the volume of drugs going inside.
