World's Best Cat Litter, hands down best litter ever. My mom, who hates that I have a cat, and hates the smell of cats or places where cats live, can't believe how non-cat smelling my tiny apartment is. I think it's because of the Word's Best Cat Litter and the fact that I regularly clean the litter box.

i really want to try this litter but my dog is really really allergic to corn. do you know if it's made of the kernel or the cob? if it's the cob, we might be able to use it.

So I went home with this girl last night after meeting her to close out a bar. I've been talking to her for a couple weeks and am (well, was really) interested in her. As soon as we walked into her place I about lost it, the place smelled like a god damn litter box.

She got really mad after we fucked when I said my allergies were bothering me and I needed to go.

LOL at 0EP's anti-pet rant.

Back home the dogs are outside during the day. Not fenced in -- we live in the goddamn woods. They have their choice, and every single night they choose to come the fuck inside and eat.

He seems to be losing track of the fact that with some animals (dogs in particular), the "pet" decision was mutual. Wolves liked the free food that came with following us around and eating the scraps off our kills, so some of them decided to stop trying to eat us. We liked the protection and warnings that came from having wolves around, so we decided to stop killing them. Somewhere along the line we encountered some orphaned wolves that we could have left to die, but we decided not to and reaped many more benefits. (Possibly some wolves encountered an orphan baby but apparently that ended differently. No hard feelings).

It's not like we said, "See that critter right there? We're going to kidnap the shit out of it and force it to serve us."

Some animals are genetically disposed to become domesticated anyway. A russian research group has done a program decades long to breed domesticated foxes and have succeeded, while noticing physiological changes in the domestic lines of the animals.

It's hard to have a clean house with more than 1 cat or dog. I think part of the problem are households that just have too many pets. For the record I like both cats and dogs, although I am allergic to most breeds of both.

the dude that took them was SUPPOSED to keep them for the interfaith food service (eggs) but instead he left the heat lamps on them and got stoned and fell asleep or left or something

so they literally fried under the heat lamps.

I saw an episode of NOVA where they talked about this. The researchers found that 95% or something of foxes would react to humans with fear or aggression. So they bred the other 5% and in only a few generations the foxes were friendly and one researcher even kept one as a pet.

But in the interest of science they also bred super-aggressive foxes ... that part was
