When I was a kid I won a free membership to Bally Total Fitness when I put my name and number in one of those boxes at the mall.

But they rescinded it once they found out I was under 18. I was 7.

5th grade... 1000 bucks from 101.5 - they had a tv commercial where they recited a line and said if they called and asked your favorite radio station to say the line back

only reason i answered the phone was cause my dad was cutting grass at the time, and they said "im calling to ask what your favorite radio station is" and i said the thing... which i still remember (of all fucking things). it was 1988, that was part of the thing. jesus.

but yeah i won 1000 bucks and a tape with a copy of the call on it. got a nintendo, it was the shit. technically i guess my mom won it cause it couldnt go to me or whatever. but i didnt get jewed too bad.
