I absolutely hate the format having play-in games for the 12 seed. A lower seeded team should never have a path that requires winning fewer games to advance than a higher seeded team (even if the higher seeded team is a 12 seed, compared to a 13, 14, or 15 seed).

I agree that play in games shouldnt be for higher seeds. I think all 4 play in games should be for the 16 seeds. But I'm not a fan of having 4 play in games anyways. If they wanna expand it just goto 80 get rid of the NIT and give the top 4 seeds in each region a bye. I still think 64 is the perfect size and shouldn't have been changed.

I agree that Utah State as a 12 seed is terrible, but I think that K-State will win unfortunately. They should have been much higher. As for that chant, UCLA has been doing that for a long time. Also the "I believe that we will win!" chant that SDSU, has been going on for a long time at Temple. I'm not saying that Temple invented it, just that SDSU didn't. Also they don't do it right. The way the chant is supposed to go is "I believe that we have won!" and you do it right before the end of the game as a way to rub it in the faces of the visiting team. It's just got a more "fuck you" attitude when done like that.

hmm VCU and UAB had pretty low rpis compared to col and vtech, I'm not agreeing with the committee but all the espn guys were so pissed off they didn't mention it's clearly the rpi/sos they were going from and it seems like they've been doing this for a while now, I remember seeing vtech's rpi in the 60s and wondering even when people were jumping on the bandwagon, it seems like people should have seen this coming

and the dumb part is prob all greenberg had to do the last two yrs was just schedule some elite teams, he probably didn't even need to beat them, just had to get those numbers up, i hope he figures this out

I guess I don't follow their play regularly, but, the way they played in the ACC tournament (despite winning 2 of the games) didn't impress me a damn bit

Duke made them look like amateurs

They are better than Florida but I thought UCONN should have earned a 2 seed. UNC was #7 and had an abysmal weekend but only fell one slot. I know the rankings are different from the committee rankings.
