i made it a lot worse by texting them both "go fuck yourself" after i found out that some other people went over on Saturday night... but i texted Kyle this morning "Happy Fucking Valentines day" and he responded so thats good...

Just pull the cord and bail. There are plenty of other dudes who will show you equal attention because they, too, will want you. If you all don't call or speak to each other in two weeks you won't even remember one another exists, regardless of the 5 years of friendship.

because there's more to that than you're telling us; we're likely missing a lot of context here.... assuming you're not lying or willfully distorting, there are several possible reasons: (a) he sensed a trap and was keeping defenses up, (b) there's a "bros before hoes" agreement going on with Kyle, or (c) he has realized you are a just manipulative little cocktease and truly wants nothing more to do with you.

Most every guy, at some point in their life, has been the "dick in a glass jar" for some triflin' bitch who wants the security of a male relationship but thinks they're too good for the guy and is holding out for someone better.

Now most guys realize this before too long, dump the chick at the next corner, learn their lesson, and move on with life. Some guys take longer to realize, and a few are destined to be chumps most of their lives. It's clear to me that Kyle is just that sort of chump, but his new roommate Greg has more quickly spotted you out for the little succubus that you are.

Greg probably also correctly recognized your profession of attraction to him was a calculated attempt to keep him from exposing you to Kyle.
