i worked in the public defenders office, and they had suits of all shapes and sizes that were donated for offenders to wear to court, if they so choose

this is correct, i had a moment and forgot what my internship in pretrial services taught me

I've gone to court and seen people hauled in wearing jumpsuits and handcuffs so maybe it depends on the situation

if they go to trial and have a public defender, i know they have the option to wear a provided suit

for hearings, like bond/bail hearings, a suit is irrelevant

In your experience, does the provided suit work better all the time?

Or are there situations where you might look more pitiful or something sitting in your jumpsuit?

In the courtrooms that I frequent, I can't say that I've ever seen a person in custody exercise the option to wear a suit.

personally, i have seen that wearing a suit makes a huge difference. it means that you are at least willing to make an effort to look like a presentable member of society, and obviously depending on the crime, it really can help you.

i personally tied the shoes of one man, because he couldn't tie them himself. to be honest, you see a ton of sad/horrible shit in the jails and subsequent hearings

I heard him on the radio in early June, mentioned the police "trying to put him away" or something.

Unless it was another DJ.

He's definitely not back at the station...so that wasn't him.

I don't have a clue whether or not he's out of jail, though.

He was formerly in the military and he drove around one of those state auctioned retired cop cars- that might be what you are thinking of

When guys can get pregnant then you can start calling it rape

Kinda like when governments try to tell you what you can and can't do with your body-- like sell the use of it in a responsible manner, or get an abortion.

Show me where in the definition of rape one can find the clause that requires one to have the capacity to be pregnant.
