I am taking TKE-Teg's side on this one. The girl was pretty rude from the get-go and he was very generous to even continue the conversation. He's certainly within his bounds to mess with her when she turned into an outright basket case. Also, had he just walked away when she was being to flake in the beginning he would have looked timid. She could have just been unsure or distracted and his confidence might have saved the day had there been anything worth saving.

Other than being a raging conservative I find him to be an upstanding member of the community!

For the record, Pat has been one of my best guy friends for the last 6 years and he's FAR from a creeper. He's probably one of the nicest guys I've ever known and definitely a gentleman. I think the texts got misconstrued and he didn't mean to come off as a menace to the girl but when she started to get rude he just wanted to see how far he could take it.

Creepy, no. A bit asshole-ish yes.

I think it's funny. (and Pat I mean asshole-ish in the nicest way possible)

I would say frustrated more than butthurt. I looked up the girls profile when I got home just to see and... lol, it's pretty trashy. 4 car pictures and only 2 of her self. Flunked out of or quit community college after two semesters.

I admit it's a little interesting to read. She was quite harsh throughout the entire thing.

Unlike other users, I don't doubt this person is female. Because I know females who will act this way. It is interesting that she's so judgmental about cars here, and yet she's basing everything on a perception that you're one of "those guys" who connect their self-worth to their car. Well, I guess that does work in some way, but we've established she cares a great deal about cars, so it's still pretty contradictory.

Overall, she never responded positively to any suggestions about getting together, and the closest she came to a positive signal was failing to deny that she's looking for someone (which should have been obvious anyway). I guess I'm now more curious how those two ever got to talking to going out together in the firs place.
