i'm probably not gonna go. i love driftwater, hands down my favorite track. but i hate Sunday events because i gotta rush back (if my car still runs, lol) to get a decent night's sleep before class the next day.

however... year #2 of Halloween Havoc down in Myrtle Beach was just announced as well, and it's Saturday/Sunday during fall break, so imma definitely go to at least the Saturday session.



the gist: pay/register at the gate, bring whatever ya got, do whatever ya want. tons of seat time. solo if ya like, tandem if ya like, cages are... not important to say the least. very few fucks are given. fun, relaxed and legal drifting at its finest.

haha, I got to witness the dirtbike/4-wheeler madness when I was in Baltimore a couple years ago. They were all just riding wheelies down the highway.

I was drifting bikes this passed weekend. That shit is crazy and really tough to break road racer body position. I think I might try flat track. Going to watch at cole ridge on the 1st

i think there is a naturally occuring thin layer of sand on the highway that makes this kind of sliding possible in FWD cars with stock tires.

I drifted my truck around a semi-damp 270° on-ramp today. Started out as an accident but found it very controllable. If I didn't have 4 expensive cooper tires in the rear I'd probably do it more often...sucker is dripping with torque

I find my truck much more comfortable and controllable to drift than my 240

^^^ that entire school is about drifting the back end of the bike out as it relates to road racing. it's a lot cheaper and less risk to do it on 100cc dirt bikes than 600cc sport bikes. had planned on trying the techniques out yesterday at VIR but it rained out

bigger RWD are like that... they hold drifts easier and are more stable. The ass end doesn't kick out as suddenly. My Mark III Supra was like that.
