Play as 4 star teams. I think i'm like division 3 but I was stuck in 7ish for a while because i kept losing to barcelona or spain when i'd pick a modest team. Fuck that shit and fuck people who just hit b and score. 4 star is where its at. Once i found a good team i think i went straight from 7 to 3 losing games only with disconnects

^ Listed to that man. You dont want to be a Liverpool or Tottenham because youre just going to play RM/Barca/MU/MC all day long. Find a good 4 star team, or even below. For 'seasons', I like to play as CSKA Moscow as the defense is strong enough and they have a ton of 'top (79-83) attacking talent with lots of speed all around.

I'm not very good and I hate playing with teams I know nothing about any of the players so i usually play as an international team unless someone wants to go mls then i use sounders. I'm not gonna put an mls team up against a better league and I usually end up getting argentina and playing against manu barca or real.

There are tons of really good teams in brazil, russia and portugal. It really is not complicated. Pick a 41212 find 2 good strikers and midfielders who can cross or pass well. Bam you're done.

Finally got to Division 6 with PSG.

I've been using them for a while and they are a pretty solid 4.5 star team. I still get matched up with the occasional 5 star, mainly Spurs, but more likely to play a Juventus or Napoli. I really like the 4-2-3-1 they run with Gameiro up front and three attacking mids with at least 4 star ball skills.

Honestly what I look for in a playable team is someone who can put the ball in the back of the net, at least two ball handlers (4*) and a good keeper.

I also received a pretty lulzy pm from a guy claiming that I was 'lucky' because he couldn't beat my PSG side with Man City.

^^I'm not a huge soccer fan so I don't know who any of those players are. I'm going to stick with using teams that I know all the players and playing against teams i know all the players. Playing against barca and spain is not even bad. If you put pressure on the great players they still can't make plays. A lot more goals get scored when I play MLS games with sounders because everyone sucks at defense.

i used to be like that until i looked up how to curve and dip shots. Now I score almost everytime I'm open in the box. The problem is, against a good player, I never get open in or near the box. Crosses seem 10x harder this year. I have so much trouble getting a cross into the right area that I have to be doing something compltely wrong.

My crosses either go to the goallie, past the box or out for the goal kick.

Anyone into their create a pro / pro ranked matches / clubs here? Just wondering as pro ranked matches drive me insane as everyone resorts to ball chasing and playing striker almost every game. Wouldnt mind finding a low key club to play some non-douchy, non-supercompetitive games.

I feel like one of those kids who mass messages everyone. But for reals, Im a 88 CAM but am fine playing anywhere up top or in the middle, including CDM.

I'm trying to find deals for gold players/contracts via auction instead of saving up and buying a gold pack. Is that a good strategy or not?

^ that's what I ended up doing. I started buying packs, but realized I could get much better quality just going through Auctions and just steadily building up my team. Plus, you can get the players you actually want, and work on your chemistry. Gold contracts are relatively cheap in auctions too.

Yeah you're much better off buying players through auctions rather than packs. Although if you had enough spare XBL/PSN points or whatever, those gold jumbo packs are pretty good. I got a Miccoli and Aaron Lennon in one of those.

Ultimate team is pretty awesome.

Fuck that. I consider myself to be very good at this game, because I am, and I get owned by messi and the likes all the time by what is not skill. You are retarded if you think its easy to score on pique puyol casillas with an average striker. I don't like playing with super teams because it takes a lot of skill and strategy out of the game for average players. Those teams are much more forgiving for the player and way stricter on the opponent. When my defenders are 75-85 there really is nothing you can do to contain the best strikers in the game. Yes I am mad. Come at me with a 4 star team bro. Can't wait to see your bitch ass get taken out by me and my friends squad

^^^^Why not just play a higher scoring game? Just because its a high scoring game doesn't mean there is no strategy. I don't want to watch 1-0 games and I certainly don't want to play them. I used to have 0-0 ties where the person declined ot when I played 4 star games. FML.

I peaked at Level 4 and then lost 7 games straight. I had a lead at some point in a lot of those games. Pretty humbling. Right now my streak is 1-8-0.

I play with West Ham and now I think I'll try to focus on dribbling and refining my shooting.

Found a formation I like (3-5-2) for online seasons and went from 8th to 4th without having to play all of the games. I bounce around teams a lot (maybe 10 totals teams) but go with bremen, fulham, everton, toon, etc quite a bit.

We'll see how level 4 goes.

Yes. Have the other controller signed in as whatever (Guest), do a custom match (Ranked if you want) and make sure they hit the Y button on the team select page.
