my girl drags me around and i never get to see the damn crafts and the horticulture exhibits
but other than that i had fun yesterday, tried the Luther Vandrosss burger and the ostrich burger for the first time
very impressed with both. The rides seem a little scant 10/17/2011 10:58:25 AM

I'd try and get free parking on Beryl Rd. I live nearby and drove by several times today and saw open spots. People park all up by the arboretum too. 10/17/2011 9:04:51 PM

i saw and heard about parking at carter finely- how plausible is that? and do they charge? I've heard it's free from some people, and others say it is 10 bucks. 10/17/2011 9:06:35 PM

The latter have no idea what they're talking about. Any parking lot that is state property is free to park in. Private property surrounding the fairgrounds charge around $10 to park in their yards. 10/17/2011 9:14:05 PM

one turkey leg, one ear of corn, one order of deep fried kool-aid
and a richardson's rootbeer.
it was a good night. great people watching too.
we parked at Carter Finley. It was free, but it was a clusterfuck. Honestly if I had to go again, I'd pay to park in a better lot.

Is the koolaid just flavored funnel cake? 10/18/2011 9:29:07 AM

AxlBonBach All American 45553 Posts user info edit post |
sort of.
it's dough they roll up into a ball, with cherry koolaid mixed up into it. I thought it would just taste like dough, but i'll be damned if it didn't taste exactly like koolaid. 10/18/2011 9:31:13 AM

we parked at Carter Finley and it was fantastic....though I didn't get out there until 8pm

Does anyone have more information on Military Appreciation Day tomorrow? I looked at the website and all it said was that military members get in free tomorrow. I remember the past couple of years you could get others in for free as well. I haven't been able to find anything on the website stating that was the case this year. Does anyone on TWW know? 10/18/2011 11:26:06 AM
