also the high frequency trading really has little to do with the fact that your pension or 401(k) is invested in gold or chinese stocks. They are invested there because that's where the money is, that's all. It's macroeconomics manifesting itself. With monetary policy and current economic conditions that's what they have to do to generate returns.

Otherwise there is a revolt by "the little guy" in the company, and the plan administrators get fired. The managers of the companies/government agencies themselves don't want to deal with this shit at all; that's why they hired Fidelity or TIAA-CREF or whatever. If you are not in only index funds, somebody somewhere is putting your money into that kind of shit whether you know it.

something tells me the sum total of your piece of shit white trash family wouldn't even pop up on the radar of a truly successful, rich person in this country

sorry

and they truly view you as the idiot duking it out in their corner, pathetically hoping to be counted among the tru(tm) capitalists. People like you are fucking hilarious. Just ducking in to remind you that the upper crust sees you as the trash you are.

protesters mopped, collected trash and scrubbed the pavement in the dead of the night as the Friday deadline neared for them to leave the premises for a cleanup.

"We're extremely excited. This is an example of what people power can do,"

Hey good on them. I hate when there's some sort of protest in DC the amount of trash that's left afterward. Pack in, pack out people!

I was walking by to go to dinner when I saw someone get thrown in the police van. The guy had a little grin on his face because he knew he was going to get tons of hippy ass after he got out of jail.

I had the shrimp and grits at busy bee. Very appetizing.

"Occupy Wall Street event begins in Raleigh

RALEIGH (WTVD) -- After almost a month, the occupation of Wall Street has become quite a spectacle.

On Saturday, that spectacle reached North Carolina, as Occupy Raleigh launched its first major protest at the State Capitol.

By early afternoon, a group estimated at more than 500 people had gathered at and around the State Capitol. About 100 or so broke off and led a march around 1 p.m."

Saw some people out there during lunch. I didn't get to read any signs because I was busy driving though.

2nd degree tresspassing is the charge. They have attorneys representing them pro bono though and money to cover court costs is being raised.

The LLS fundraiser 1 mile walk was going through downtown around the time that everyone from the Occupy-Raleigh protest was being arrested. I was proud to see that the LLS fundraiser walk had about 10X more people than the occupy Raleigh "protest". Good to see that some people still have their priorities straight.

At least they don't have to worry about being robbed.

Because they are unemployed and I'll assume in debt with no money.

"it started with 3 people Saturday night, then 10 Sunday night, then 20 last night...we're negotiating with the city on how much of the sidewalk we can use and what we can have out there"

There were a lot of people out there saturday during the day, but its lack of the ability to get a supply system going and the pressure from the police to not sit or sleep or stock things thats driving numbers low, but the people are doing an execellent job of organizing and it does appear to be growing there were more people out there at 6 this morning than were there sunday at 11pm
