My point most of you are in the minority, you can't just say Deadmau5 or Tiesto is shit when they have a residency in Vegas at the newest most exclusive clubs. Fine, you don't like them. Just go on listening to your style of music and stop bashing on other people that may not fit perfectly within the constraints of what you consider "dubstep" Pretty much the entire electronic music movement is about making genre-breaking music. Yes, Skrillex has become the poster child of EDM even though he doesn't encompass the entire genre, and yes, there are other DJ's out there that may be better in your or my opinion. The point is to take someone that is probably the most popular, and give him an award so there's some sort of recognition for the EDM. Doesn't really matter who it is... but as most Grammy's are like that right??? I mean it's just a popularity contest.

most awards have some sort of standards to compare to. movies & music are pretty subjective. that's why everyone should just listen to what they want to listen to and not get offended if their favorite dubstep artist doesn't win a grammy.

The Grammys are like the Nobel Peace Prize at this point. A guy can get a Nobel Peace Prize for not doing anything, then spend the next 3 years mutilating innocent children and starting military conflicts.

Who deserves a Grammy? Who deserves a Nobel Peace Prize? These are labels that don't matter that much. As someone mentioned, it's a popularity contest. Many of the best artists are shunned by the masses and will remain obscure until, perhaps, many years from now, or maybe forever. Mass appeal is the name of the game.

Never heard of this guy until today, when I was playing Draw Something with a random person. His word was Skrillex, but instead he attempted to draw a crude picture of a stick figure with a massive penis pointing at "your wife". I used a anagram solver to figure out the answer, then responded with a massive middle finger played to the word Wave.

Now I'm listening to this Skrillex fellow on the YouTubes and it's not bad stuff. I have never knowingly listened to dubstep, so if this is what it is, it's ok by me.
