i slid off in a ditch after overcorrecting (to miss another car that was also losing control) in a turn where a fuck ton of snow just blew in on the highway one morning when it hadn't snowed in a week... just sliding the tires sliding sideways through the snow stopped the car after only a few feet. good thing, because there was another car already sitting there... 10 meters of unpaved median might have prevented the 2nd half of that accident.
