Love Purvis' attitude. On a team that often looks nonchalant, he brings a ton of enthusiasm, and its contagious. Looks to be the fan-favorite and face of this team next year on.

He is fire but the dude sometimes needs to learn to pass the ball. IE at the end when fouled he saw Scott open and still didn't pass.

^i noticed that and thought the same at first. However, at that point, the game was in hand...Get yourself on the free throw line, where you've been struggling, and get some work in. Not a bad idea...

He was pissing me off last night, getting the ball and running a break and then taking a bad shot that had very little chance of making it. He eventually started making baskets later on but early on he was frustrating me... oh well, he's definitely a great player.

Purvis is great, but Warren is better.

He does seem to have a one-track mind sometimes about "I'm getting to the basket and no one is going to stop me" when he's on the break. And people do stop him...but I think every team needs a guy with that mentality.

He seems to share the ball pretty well in the half-court...but he's balls to the wall on the break.

and we haven't really had a guy like that, at least since I've been a fan.

I love it. Throw the ball up to him and let him do his thing. He's only gonna get better.

^^His major attribute is being a slasher, so I wouldn't be surprised if the coaches encourage him to do that.

I noticed he was pushing too hard in a half-court set in the first half, and lowered his shoulder into the guy and the dude fell down. Easily could have been called an offensive foul. But he grabbed his own board and got the put back. Bottom line, I will take the aggression, even if it means he's a little out of control sometimes.

^^^meh, warren has his arms superglued to his sides when he's playing defense. drives me nuts. probably wouldn't challenge a shot if a midget was shooting right in front of him.

Purvis is scoring in transition, hitting clutch 3s, and matching up against the other teams best perimeter player on defense. Could not possibly ask for anything more from a freshman replacing a senior in a starting role.

^^We could ask him to make more of his free throws. j/k, I love Purvis. Such a great talent and I really like his attitude/body language.

I'm having trouble recalling, is that Purvis's first actual dunk of the year? I know I have to be forgetting at least another one, probably more.

He has had at least one other. Similar to the Duke dunk. Maybe another but he mostly goes with the layup

I appreciate the effort. Needs to pass in transition when dribbling into a 3 on 1. This kid will be great, but needs to be more unselfish in transition.

I bet he's told to bring it hard to the rim. That's his game, it just hasn't been falling for him for the last few weeks.

great hustle play though to save the ball from going out of bounds. Led to a pass to a wide open Scott Wood for 3.

what are the odds of him transferring?

minutes over the past 5 games have slipped from 33 -> 20 -> 16 -> 12 -> 10

I wouldn't think he is thinking about transferring. He got good playing time all year when he was playing decent, now that he is slumping his playing time is dropping. Hopefully he just picks up his play to get his playing time back.

yeah i dont think he'll transfer but man we were sorely misled on this kid.

He was supposed to be the total package and he showed up not even ACC ready.

I hope he shows something next year or we are in for a really tough year.

He was labelled a combo guard too. Not sure how anyone thinks he can run point, he struggles in halfcourt as a SG. Now his transition game has fallen apart too.
