i agree with you to an extent

i just think its hard to say they play with class on the court when Wade just smacked Kobe in the face in a completely meaningless game, while all the criticism of Rondo was in the heat of the moment of a playoff game

i expect players to play with intensity in the playoffs, and while what Rondo did was wrong, i dont ever expect flagrant fouls in the all star game...if the NBA had any kind of consistency, Wade would've been suspended a game or two after the AS break...but Kobe is a man and he took it, he didn't bitch about it

can you imagine the suspension if JR Smith were to smack Lebron in the face from behind and break his nose in Game 2?

^^Wade has been the biggest cry baby his whole career so I don't know where you come up with that. his court behavior consists of diving, cheap shots, crying to the refs and faking injuries. Sometimes he even goes back to the locker room to sell a call then comes right back to play 100%

What is wrong with Amare. I thought it was just a regular season thing but if he goes for a rebound and doesn't get it then he won't even come back down and play d. he was at halfcourt when lebron dunked it.

How many injuries is enough? Not just for the knicks but for the entire NBA. The knicks have one pg left on their roster and that is 33 year old mike bibby. They basically had to play 5 on 4 the whole 2nd quarter with him out there and 5 on 3 when Amare is pouting. I would at least like to see the Heat win with Wade and Lebron's amazing play but they are just walking in for layups.

Lin Shumpert and Baron all hurt. Seems like they could streamline Lin to come back early with two more pgs just now getting hurt.

[Edited on April 30, 2012 at 8:19 PM. Reason : wade is the least respectable star in the league after lebron]

Plenty of guys argue calls. Dirk and Duncan easily top that list.

You are stuck under the cloud of the bad media image and do not realize it.

Why does Melo put so much pressure on lebron. They are playing him like he is steve novak. Why are they trying to make lebron a driver?

Amare is a joke anyway. The guy takes off his glasses to shoot which means after shooting a ft he has to stop and put his glasses back on before he can play. He missed a ft and the rebound came to him but he was preoccupied putting his goggles back on and couldn't get it. Also, when the other team gets the rebound, he has to put his glasses on then turn and get back on defense while the other team is already dunking.

Losing Amare won't hurt much they are better with melo and novak at the 4

Lin, fields, Jr smith, melo, chandler. With novak, jeffries off the bench gives the knicks a chance to compete. Without Lin they're done though.

^ hahaha, that's great!

Game 2 Hawks/Celtics tonight. Tried to get my boss's prime tickets for the game (as he, like most Hawks fans, rarely goes to the games), but he's actually going tonight. Oh well. Would've loved the opportunity to heckle the sh*t out of Kevin Garnett. Hopefully the hawks take advantage of Rondo's absence, but they normally play uninspired when an opponent is missing key players this season (such as losing to the Heat w/out James/Wade, one week after beating the Heat with them in the lineup, getting blown out by the Bulls w/out Rose but winning against him, etc).

Going to be remarkably tough for the Celtics to win tonight.

The Bulls are still favorites thanks to Noah just dominating Philly's lack of size in the frontcourt. Hoping Jrue and Igor show up tonight, Philly looked great in transition but awful in halfcourt.

The Nuggets looked thoroughly outmatched in game 1, hoping that Lawson/Afflalo resume being good basketball players, Karl stops playing Harrington/Mcgee, Kobe has one of his patented 8-24 FG games, Bynum goes back to being a normal human, and that Jordan Hill & Ebanks chill out.

Thats a lot to hope for, ugh.

What the hell. Guide says I get the game on FSN but they have been showing poker the whole time. NBA tv says I get the game local like I live in Georgia so I get the game on two channels but can't watch it on either. Excellent. How the hell did boston win? That was like the lock of the playoffs.

^^ Pierce. He had 8 turnovers because he was forced to do too much without a PG, but he had 14 rebounds and 36 points.

Garnett had a good game too.

ok. cant say anything bad about kobe in the first half he is hitting everything. Nuggets are still in the game though. If he comes back down to earth in the 2nd half, they've got a shot.

Serious question. Do you really believe kobe is better than bynum?

If the Lakers lose bynum they immediately kinda stink. If they lose kobe they're basically the same exact team.

Does that mean nothing to you?

And yes, I was the one screaming to draft Faried over Kemba. I have no idea what im talking about!

Faried is a beast, no question

Quote :
"Do you really believe kobe is better than bynum?"

i dont think its fair or easy to compare bigs and wings, they have completely different roles

i'd obviously take bynum if i was building a team right now for the future since he has 10 more years left in his career compared to kobe (though he's already had multiple injury problems and would be lucky to average 10 and 5 in six or seven more years, but i'm also not gonna rely on bynum to drop 28 a night and hit clutch jumpers and free throws either THIS SEASON

kobe, career-wise, is obviously a top-10 player in NBA history...bynum has a helluva long way to go to sniff the potential of possibly approaching the conversation

I know nothing!

Durant is sucking huge right now in the playoffs, that much we can agree on. But he's still a > .20 WP/48 guy so to say he stinks is absurd. He's a star. Yes, he is getting bailed out by James Harden (and if you had to pick one guy on that team it'd be Harden I think we all agree) right now, but I think Durant will have a few good games before these playoffs are over.

if you could take either Durant or Harden right now, as the first player you select in the expansion draft with your new NBA franchise, which player would you select to be the centerpiece of your team, face?

No shit, Sherlock. Of course everyone agrees with that. Harden and Lebron are neck and neck right now for best player in the league.

^^ Tough call, they're neck and neck right now and Harden is a year younger.

But I'd have to go with Durant because his size/style lends himself to a longer and more durable playing career.

But we haven't seen a talent like Harden since Manu Ginobili and Ginobili won a couple of championships as the best player on his team.

^ Don't be ridiculous. Lebron is the clear cut #1 player in the league and only CP3 and a healthy Dwight are in the argument. Harden is not Lebron, sorry.

Fine, I'll give you LBJ over Harden, but Howard is no where close to the top.

Top 5.

1. LBJ
2. Harden
3. Duncan
4. Love
5. Griffin

face, what was Bismack's WP48 this year? how good of a basketball player does that make him? cause he shattered your precious top-3 First-Half Howard in blocks/48, but his WP48 says he sucks dick, how come the numbers dont work?

That list is a joke.

Griffin was better last season than he was this year. He isn't that good yet.

Duncan is still serviceable, but he's not even the best center on his own team. He's not in the top 100 in the NBA.

Love was in the top 5 last year for sure, it'd be tough to put him there this year after he regressed so much, but he's still a great player.

Howard is inarguably one of the best three players in basketball. Arguing otherwise is so far beyond ridiculous that it renders everything else you say null.

And Harden is not #2. He's top 20 for certain and probably top ten, but #2 is absurd

WP48 is legit when determining the best players in the NBA

after all, Tyson Chandler nearly quadrupled how good of an NBA player he was from 2010 to 2011

the numbers don't lie, it had nothing to do with moving from the Bobcats to the Mavericks, but Chandler literally improved his basketball skillset by nearly 400%
