I have Nitto NT555 on my car now, and have no complaints. There is a lot more grip than the Conti DWS had, and haven't noticed any problems in the rain.

Continental DWS was the less aggressive, more GT-type tire I referenced. Was drawing ablank on it earlier.

both on my car and on a buddies the dws had their belts shift and causes some serious vibration... so as they are a pretty sticky tire they don't handle the lateral loads very well.

On a related note, I need 2 new tires for the Integra. I was hoping to match the 2 tires I bought for her last year. Welp, within the last year the tire selection for my size has gone to absolute shit.

Between Discount Tire and Tirerack I count 4 different tires that are made in that size. And the tires I was hoping to get, to match my existing tires...now only made in 22-24" sizes

Think I'm going with Nitto Motivos (newish tire)...a bit more of an all season than the 555 and better performance in the rain. It is a less aggressive tire, but supposedly it's a better ride. I guess this means I'm getting old or something. Plus they're cheap as hell from Discount Tire...2 for $335 installed versus $450 for the DWS and ~$400 for the Pilot Sports and ~$450 for the Super Sports.

Debating on getting dedicated snow tires like some Bridestone Blizzak or just getting a decent all season like some Goodyear Triple Tread. Later would probably be cheaper but won't be as good as dedicated snow tires in the snow.

I took my 3800lbs car to VIR full on a set of these. they cooked and lost grip very quickly (415hp and a guy who thought he knew what he was doing..), but it was very predictable. good amount of sidewall roll and skating through many corners.

DWS is a nice DD tire. If you want to remotely have fun with the car in any enthusiastic driving, look at a different tire.

^^^^ they were my DD tire on the Z06 for about the last year. They're fine, although I'd get something else if you plan on even occasionally tracking the car. They're fine for any remotely reasonable run down a curvy road or ripping around an entrance/exit ramp.
