I said that when he was at Wisconsin last year. RW was pretty fast his freshman year, but I think that knee injury during the Rutgers game slowed him down a lot his sophomore year. He was getting caught regularly by DL.

He picked it up his junior year, but he looked like he had an extra gear at Wisconsin.

barring injury I'm 90% confident he's the starter by midseason.

I'd give him about a 30-40% chance of being the Week 1 starter right now. He just needs a good appearance this weekend and he's the favorite.

^^ Ernie used to say that TJ Yates would play more in the NFL than Wilson back when both were playing against each other in college. Amazingly he looked to be right when Yates got insanely lucky with two injuries to get a chance to start. We'll see if Russell can prove Ernie wrong.

If I had been a gambling man, I would have bet my first born that neither ever saw an NFL snap back then. Maybe Ernie is a prophet.

Anyway, Flynn's contract is not a particularly big contract for an NFL starting QB. Across Wilson, Jackson, and Flynn, Seattle's QB costs aren't outstanding.

Ultimately it worked out for everybody.

We get glennon for two years, russ would probably only been worth 1 more win last year if we're being honest. Also RW wouldn't have been drafted as high if he played for us. No reason for anyone to be upset about any of this.

i do think it worked out for both parties in the end, and I'm glad we get two years of glennon. but this time last year that was a massive question mark. hindsight is 20/20, but when russell walked and then tried to turn people against TOB because of "an equal opportunity" that he blew off, he turned me off of him. i rooted against him every game last year. he took no personal responsibility, and I have no love for those kind of people
