^^^Nice!

My weekly sched since the beg of the year has been 4 days of travel, 1 day WFH. Now I'm on a 5 week WFH (couldn't have picked a better time, don't want to add another warm body to the post-Sandy public transit). The 1 day a week WFH is nice because it's like a 75% productive day and you have time to run errands, etc. Now that I'm doing it everyday of the week I'm starting to get some crazy cabin fever If the wife didn't want me home for a bit, I'd be on the first flight out in the morning I think the reason I'm getting cabin fever is because I know being local isn't going to last much longer, so I'm still not committing to sports teams, recurring events, etc.

I like WFH Mondays and Fridays, though it really depends on my schedule (doc appointments, social obligations, travel sched).

With the winter chill fast approaching, WFH may get bumped up to 3 days a week. Nice to be able to sleep in, camp out under blankets and avoid the extra hour in the car.

I am "working" from home this week because I am in between projects (consulting so I am always traveling). Definitely realizing how nice it was to be home when I was on a virtual project there for a while but I also realized how much I missed working with people and not just on the phone/im. I need a job where I have a local office (no travel) and I can work from home a day or two a week. That would be absolute bliss.

We went back to Raleigh for homecoming, and went down thursday night as my wife had friday off. I worked from the RTP office, and realized now that I can't work in an office environment anymore... or at least if I do, I need to find a building where no one knows me.

I didn't get shit done. People saw I was on site and i was constantly being badgered by people wanting the skinny on the projects i'm leading.

Anyway, I definitely realize how productive I am working from home vs the office even though sometimes it sucks being removed from civilization.
