This is my belief: Human beings want answers regardless of the means. We always have. I believe religions were created as constructs to guide mankind in this search for answers. Therefore, it doesn't matter whether there is a "right" or "wrong" religion because such a thing doesn't exist. Ultimately they are all trying to accomplish the same thing although the wording is different between them; there is more than one way to skin a cat so to speak in the search for answers.

You insinuate in your post that religion has some sort of sinister ulterior agenda to push over the human race. Can you provide any tangible evidence that isn't fringe?

First of all, my "belief" you are referring to is my claim that "religion exists so mankind can search for answers." I don't think this is something that needs "proving" via citable evidence. It's common fucking sense for reasons you will read below.

Intellectually dishonest. I can see your claim making sense when it comes to scientific vs. religious explanations for things and in that sense I agree with you. However, you aren't addressing the entire picture. I didn't think I needed to clarify the following, but I think I will: When I said "mankind is searching for answers" I was thinking of things that were more practical to daily living. Answers to questions like "How can I be a good person? How can I be happy? What should I do with my life?". These are the questions I think people turn to religion for because they are pretty important questions and, when it comes to daily living, matter a hell of a lot more than stuff like "How was the earth created?" or, in other words, the kinds of scientific questions that conflict with religious explanations. This SHOULD be common sense to you. Which leads me to the following...
