Something like that happened to me when I was 19 years old. I was at big bin sale, going through some tops when I guy came up behind me and rubbed his penis (zipper down, penis out) on my backside and forced me to stand still by slamming my hands onto the table. Absolutely terrifying. Other shoppers had to get him off of me.

I am sorry but no fucking way this should be a felony. A misdemeanor subject jail time, sure, its definitely wrong, and needs to be corrected...but a felony with a 2.5 year sentence is complete bullshit.

People get less time than that for armed robberies and stabbings and shit.

^He got a couple years probation, and he isn't on any sex offender registries. So what's the problem? Is it the world, "felony"? Cause we give felonies out for everything, and this certainly qualifies.

I imagine her "friends" feel awful bad for the guy because he lost his job (and may lose his home). But the 43-year old man who goes to bars and gropes women clearly should not work as a police officer anymore. I'm actually kind of curious to see his complaint history as an officer...cause he sounds very out of control for someone who is 40+ years old.

I think it's quite common that sexual crime victims feel way more guilt than they should have because our legal system has completely lost sense of proportion. People don't like to talk about it, but if you go through the process it's really obvious, like we never even tried to match punishment to the crime.
