Watching parts of this made me a little queasy. Paul Ryan's speech was robotic and completely lacked substance.

I think one of the reasons Ron Paul got so popular, aside from his principled leadership, is that his speaking style seems authentic. When he gives a speech, you get the sense that maybe he had an idea of what topics he wanted to cover, but it's not 100% scripted. Sure, the guy rambles a bit, but most normal people do when they talk for an hour.

Obama, Romney, Ryan...they all seems like bots. I think they have to be, really. There isn't a way to support/condone/celebrate the slaughter and incarceration of innocent people while holding onto your humanity.

I just can't see how anybody could stand to sit through all of those bs speeches. I kept flipping to it last night, but after a few minutes I'd get so disgusted with the fakeness of it all that I'd have to switch away. I'll admit, overall, the republicans disgust me more than the democrats, but the democrats are pretty disgusting too, and i can't stand to watch more than a few minutes of them either. Any intelligent rational person knows that these speeches mean nothing. They're just posturing and pandering with no substance.
