my parents live outside of the city - it is nearby but not MARTA accessible and I wouldn't want to drive drunk

my desire to have at least one drunk night surrounded by nerds and costumes requires I find a hotel within cabbing distance and hopefully I can make a refundable reservation because my life is fairly unstable

I appreciate the offer but I don't think I have the resources to commit to that kind of project - I wouldn't want to half ass it. I also have somewhat ulterior motives in attending as I'd like to sell a radio story about it.

Attending this for the first time is me trying something new.
I already spend a lot of my expendable income attending burn events but I think that this con (above all others) has something to offer me as well. With that in mind I think I will make arrangements

I'd absolutely love to meet up for a drink or five! I'll surely wear a costume but it may not coincide with your groups theme. Who are you all dressing as?

I went last year, it was fun. Didn't dress up but my friend did and she even won a contest at the harry potter thing. I was thinking of going again sometime down the future and dressing up, it'd have to be something funny or cool though. This year the dates didn't work.
