I don't think so. The whole thing felt like another loyalty test - bring back old romantic interest, who just happens to be working a mission they need him on, who oh by the way also has a son he never knew about, and she also wants to run away with him.

all FX shows have this tendency to jump the shark. we just buy into every time. I barely buy the russia girl and beeman sexual tension. The little girl with the shotgun was almost approaching shark jumping territory but they left it alone.


so far it's very well acted tho.

Yeah tired of each episode them shifting back-and-forth.

She hates him, he loves her.
He hates her, she loves him.
She hates him, he loves her.
He haters her, she loves him.

Shit is getting old, though I do think she seems "weak" whenever she's really into him. On the other hand he seems more of a badass when he's into her(usually protecting her).

They need to go somewhere with that plot line in a hurry, or just drop it. Have them settle into something, and have glimpses of a change in heart. It just takes up time where they could be doing more interesting things

Just caught up on this show. Fantastic first season so far.

It was only the most recent episode where I started to get fed up with them going back-and-forth on how each feels about the marriage. Elizabeth and Philip struggling with whether or not their marriage is "real" is the most interesting part about the show to me, and what separates it from just being another (admittedly well-made) typical spy show. However, they don't need to keep flip-flopping how each feels about the other to keep it dramatic. It worked for the first six or seven episodes, but the latest episode was one reversal too many. Just have them fall into a rhythm for a few episodes regarding how they feel about each other; it's the first season for chrissake, play that story out over time.

Still a great show, definitely one of the best new shows I've seen.

Also, Keri Russell is absurdly hot in this show.
