That's a ridiculous argument. Coaches make stupid decisions all the time--even good coaches.

Vandenburg is terrible offensively, always out of position defensively and doesn't get any rebounds. What does he contribute besides getting them to the double bonus faster? Heck, Robinson may be just as terrible, but we don't know because he never plays with the first team.

Vandy did play well against Wake. It was one of the few times I saw Scott Wood grin ear to ear when Vandy did the left-handed lay up. He's not going to explode offensively or defensively, but he can put a few points on the board.

The only points I have ever seen Vandenburg make during a real game were when the other team thought so little of his offensive game that they left him completely alone and collapsed on the ball carrier and he had a wide open dunk or layup. Anyone on the team could do that.

we should probably play Robinson even if Leslie is healthy...if he gets starter minutes, he's projected to be a 20+ point and 20+ rebound a game guy...never know unless you play him

also Chase Cannon needs to get some minutes over Purvis...the guy is shooting 100% from behind the arc this year, he's more than twice as automatic as Wood
