3 months in Europe was the length of my backpacking trip.

If you have questions about transportation, logistics, and eastern countries like Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, and especially Romania and Turkey, I'm happy to offer my perspective. Also Morocco, cause it might as well be an extension of Europe with the crazy cheap connections to/from there on the discount airlines.

Long distance train tickets. (yes i know about passes)

If I get a single ticket from city A to city E can I stop in city C or does the ticket expire as soon as possible?

I've always been able to get off whenever, and get back on the next one going that direction. Never had any problems

it depends on the ticket, some are for the route on a specific date (usually cheaper) and some are just for the route at any time

I got lucky and wound up taking eurolines twice in the middle of the night for ~$20 a person...and the bus, both times, only had 2-3 other people on it. Was awesome.

Had a massive delay on the train from London to Paris. I could get compensation, but I've been too lazy to call.

what cities were those buses to and from though. saying "in europe" is pretty useless information.
