elkaybie We're forgetting one. You told me you are friends with a friend of mine and once sent me a photo of all of you together to prove it. One of those girls in the photo had a boyfriend who lived with her and shot himself in the head in his grandpa's barn in 2007 I think. I don't know if I ever met him or not.

Anyway, I was reminded of this thread because I just ran across some photos of my infant cousin who I never knew.

My uncle, my mom's brother, was shot and killed in Greensboro just before last Christmas. It was right outside of his apartment. They didn't take anything, even though he had money and some painkillers on him. Just walked up, put a gun to the back of his head, and pulled the trigger.

One of my childhood friends died in a car wreck a year after we graduated from high school. However his family and friends (Including me) are sure foul play was involved. He was involved in drugs and apparently his dealer was chasing him and ran him off the road. Some even claim that the dealer then got out and broke his neck. I believe the dealer had some connections in the department and was never linked to the incident.

That same dealer was involved in another death not long after that one. He was with a girl who OD'd and instead of taking her to the hospital he threw her out of the car into her parents front yard. She was the single mother of a small child. Her parents now take care of the daughter and we see them from time to time. The guy was never linked to this either as far as I know. Not sure if he really did anything illegal or not as far as her death but it was still terrible.

my great grandparents killed themselves during the great depression.

well the husband killed the wife, then himself, but they had left a note saying what they were going to do and who should raise the children and whatnot. it's quite disturbing. the newspaper articles about it are much, much more gruesome and detailed than anything you would read today.

My uncle (by marriage to my father's twin) was murdered by a couple in March 2013 that ran an auto performance shop in Norfolk, VA. My uncle sold Mac Tools to area body shops for nearly 25 years, and was a very well respected man----enough to bring the church that the funeral was held well over capacity & the president of Mac Tools to attend. His body was found in the back of his burned out truck near the exit for Busch Gardens.

Oh and the Nazi's murdered my third cousin in WWII after they shot down his plane. The entire crew was captured in the forest and then hanged later.

His name was Derek. It was Sept 12, 2008. And I most certainly do not, nor have I ever, forgotten him.

i remember this kid (scooter, i think) in high school band was found dead in his pickup truck one day. late one night he was getting on NC 68 from the road in front of PTI airport in Greensboro (back in the early 90's when it wasn't so developed out there) and someone shot him. they never found out who did it. single bullet through the driver side window.

Oh and a guy that was the cousin of my sister's best friend, died from car wreck injuries. He wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from a car that he flipped. He actually would have died at the scene, if he had been wearing a seatbelt because the car was pretty much crushed. He was in a coma for a while at UNC and had a leg amputated, but still didn't make it. We used to hang out at birthday parties and other things like that when our families got together.
