^ Because it is not something people do? When is the last time you saw an adult in pajamas on the plane, or even a child? Yes, it is comfortable, and it is not against the law, but no one does it. So if you ever did see someone in pjs on a plane you (at least I would) would definitely think they were weird, not necessarily crazy, but at least weird.

P.S. in this case, it was a private plane and she was with friends, so it doesn't matter. Case closed.

I've seen people on planes in PJs. Mostly were transatlantic and/or overnight flights. Personally, I usually wear old comfortable jeans and a t-shirt/sweatshirt depending on the weather. I have worn sweat pants before...which also double as my PJs in the winter.

The younger the person, the more casually they are dressed. Older people still hold onto flying as special events when they wore their Sunday's Best to fly. Younger people care more about comfort and usually bum it at the airport.

Interesting, I haven't seen anybody in pjs, but I haven't taken transatlantic flights for a decade now, but I have taken many 6 hour flights in the past few years.

I guess depends on nationality as well. You would never ever find south Asians, for example, dressed down on airplanes. Same with most Arabs and East Asians. Europeans more likely to be dressed down, and perhaps, Americans the most.

And with the advent of inflight beds, I guess it happens more often, but I guess people bring a change of clothes in that case.
