Eh, I kinda hear you, but at the same time we dug ourself out of that hole (albeit with the help of Edmonton). The notion of "we don't deserve to have fair officiating because we played terrible for half of the game" doesn't hold much water.

I'll elaborate: When we are playing flat-footed and slow, and begin to reach, hook, trip, etc..I don't expect calls in the Canes favor.

However, late in a close game, the Canes were shafted. The player that Nash hit hit did a full 180 in the seconds leading to the hit. Nash went in with the shoulder, but ended up making head contact as the Oiler completed his rotation. The fact that the league didn't follow-up after a 5 min/10 min penalty tells you something.

RNH and Faulk had been skating to the boards together battling for position. They hit the boards together, with Faulk on the outside. RNH crumbles, but pops right back up. I can't find video of it, but it was weak. The Canes bench reaction summed it up perfectly.

All in all it was a shitty way to lose a game after battling back like that.
